Cefalu offers numerous restaurants serving great local cuisine. I said it before however I always do a proper research and know where I will be eating. One of the places with good reviews was Ristorante Le Chat Noir that is very close to the main Cefalu square. It has got seating on a deck outside in the street and also inside in their lovely courtyard that is screaming Sicily. Traditional food and decorations and also very hard to get to get a table without reservation. We were lucky as we turned up very early and got a cosy table in the little courtyard.

We made a huge order…from local traditional mixed starters to pasta and steak. Everything was delicious. When I am in Italy I always go for pasta. I do not eat pasta as much in England so it is a great opportunity to try different recipes in Italy. I have noticed that one of the most common pastas was pasta alla norma and it is truly delicious. Something I will try to recreate at home.

Well, we had a lovely Sicilian evening with great atmosphere, wine and food. If you ever visit make sure you stop by.

Cefalu nabizi velke mnozstvi dobrych restauraci, ktere serviruji mistni kuchyni. Uz jsem to rikala drive, ale pokazde kdyz cestuju, tak si udelam radny pruzkum restauraci a predem vim, kam chci na jidlo.

Ristorante Le Chat Noir byla jedna z restauraci, ktera mela dobre recenze, ale brzo jsem pochopila, ze je nutne si udelat reservaci predem. Jeden vecer se nam ale podarilo dostat stul. Le Chat Noir ma posezeni venku na ulici a vevnitr na malem dvorku, ktery ma velmi tradicni deco. Vsude na vas dycha Sicilie a restaurace serviruje mistni pochoutky. Jako predkrm jsem vybrala mix ruznych mistnich tradicnich jidel a jako dalsi chody testoviny (jak jinak) a steak. Nesmela nam chybet ani oblibena bruschetta (te bych se ujedla). No na dovolene opravdu netroskarim. 

Uzila jsem si nejen dobre jidlo, ale i velmi prijemnou atmosferu pod sirim nebem. Vecere jak ma byt.

You know I am a foodie. I love to explore new places. Well don’t get me wrong…most of the year I try to eat healthy and watch my weight however when I eat…then I eat. And that is what I do on holidays. I always do my research when I go travelling. I read restaurant reviews and there is always one spot I wanna try. Thanks to my research I found this place called Locanda del Marinaio in Cefalu, Sicily. Great small place off the main square serving mouth watering sea food and fish. Our evening started with few drinks at the local square with a gorgeous views on their Duomo (cathedral). I love soaking in the atmosphere, watching the (super tan) locals and of course I love their wine. I think it would be hard to find a bad wine here.
Then we headed to the restaurant (yes we were first as always…we are Europeans so we eat at 8 the latest…LOL). We decided to eat outside, nothing better than a warm evening, glass of wine and delicious food under the sky. I personally think I overdid it with the order however at that time it felt like I need to try as much as I can. I went for bruschetta, tuna carpaccio and risotto with shrimp. Tadhg went for some pasta and then the fish of the day. I mean look at the presentation of the food?! Everything was top class and so was the service.

I think this has not been my last time in this restaurant. I think this week will ruin all the hard work I put into getting that bikini body. LOL

Vite, ze miluju jidlo a take objevovani novych mist. Zase aby to spatne nevyznelo…behem tydne si vzdy hlidam, co jim. Je to takovy neustaly boj…hlidani vahy a pak zkouseni novych restauraci. Zivot je ale prece o balancovani, nebo snad ne? Kazdopadne vzdy pokud jedu na dovolenou, tak si udelam poradny pruzkum mistnich restauraci predem. A kdyz jsem se chystala na Sicili, tak jsem vedela, ze chci vyzkouset tohle mistecko v Cefalu. Tato restaurace serviruje hlavne plody more a je dokonce na seznamu doporucenych restauraci Michelin.
Navecer jsem se vydala se svou druhou polovickou do historickeho centra a zasly jsme si nejdrive na vyborne vino na mistni namesti u katedraly.
Po sedme jsme se vydaly do restaurace a byly jsme prvni…no zkratka Evropane, ze? Tohle se v nas nezapre, zatimco mistni vychazi na veceri v deset, my uz jsme davno po veceri.
Myslim, ze jsem to s objednavkou prehnala, ale chtela sem toho vyzkouset co nejvice. Dala jsem si klasickou Bruschettu, potom carpaccio z tunaka a na zaver rizoto s krevetama. Tadhg si dal rybu dne a nejake testoviny s krevetama. Vsechno bylo naprosto vynikajici a servis nemel chybu. Ja sice mluvim trosku Italsky, ale ne dostatecne a tak vzdy uvitam u obsluhy znalost anglictiny. Sicilie me zatim prijemne prekvapuje. A tuhle restauraci musim vsem doporucit. Myslim, ze sem tam nejedla na posledy.

Some of you may remember previous post from my birthday dinner in Iberica. This time I decided to try this fab place down in Farringdon. You may have seen my visit on snapchat already however it is such a great spot that it is worthwhile to share again. We decided to go for a lunch this time and it was nice and quiet which can be a good thing in London. I feel it is busy all the time everywhere so to find a place like this and be able to actually have a conversation is a great thing.

We ordered around 3 tapas each and shared everything as you would expect and as always I loved every dish. I picked some of my favourites like padron peppers and their chorizo lollipops but tried some new things like tomato salad or mackerel. Everything was delicious and if you love tapas this is a place to go.

My friend Emma who went there for the first time loved it so much that she went for dinner few days later. Well, good places are always a good choice right?

Mozna si pamatuje na muj predchozi post o narozeninove veceri v restauraci Iberica. Strasne tohle misto miluju. Maji opravdu prijemny dekor a vynikajici tapas. Tentokrat jsem se rozhodla vyzkouset jejich restauraci ve ctvrti Farringdon.

Vydala jsem se s pritelem a prateli jedno sobotni odpoledne na obed a v restauraci byl prijemny klid. To je obcas v Londyne raritou a pro me prijemnou zmenou. Pokud se sem nekdy vydate tak doporucuji si objednat asi tri jidla na osobu a to vam bude bohate stacit. Ja jsem objednala oblibene klasiky jako padron peppers a jejich chorizo lollipops, ale na stole se objevily pro me novinky jako napriklad makrela. Chutnalo mi opravdu vsechno a moje kamaradka Emma byla tak nadsena, ze uz si v sobotu rezervovala stul na veceri s prateli. 

No dobra mista jsou zkratka dobra mista, ze?
