Sunday Roast at West ThirtySix

Wearing: Zara Skirt, Jimmy Choo Flats, Acne Jacket, H&M Top, Celine Bag

When my friend Helena told me she booked table for lunch in a new spot West ThritySix and was thrilled. After stalking them on instagram and seeing people like Ellie Goulding eating there I got even more excited. The food looked great so did the deco and you know how much I love good food in a good place.

I put on my dungaree skirt and Jimmy Choo flats and we jumped into a cab from Kensington that took us to the venue. Well you would never guess the place will be at that location however it looked like a nice little gem surrounded by block of flats. The deco reminded me a bit Chiltren Fire House and the place had a lovely relaxed vibe. We both decided to go for a Sunday roast which felt like heaven after my three days of juicing last week. I went for the beef and Helena for pork and the portions were super huge. I am not exaggerating hehe. As always I was checking what other people ordered and the brunch menu looked fantastic too so perhaps I should book my next visit.

And before you ask about that little book…that is how they bring your bill…how sophisticated is that?

Kdyz mi moje kamaradka Helena rekla, ze rezervovala stul na obed v nove trendy restauraci West ThirtySix tak jsem se zacala na nase rande hrozne tesit. Po tom co jsem si projela jejich instagram a videla jidlo a jejich hosty jako Ellie Goulding jsem byla velmi zvedava. Jela jsem s Helenou taxikem z Kensingtonu a lokace restaurace me docela prekvapila. Takova krasne misto uprostred hromady mene krasnych bytu, ale dekor zvenci i vevnitr byl prekrasny. Hrozne mi to pripominalo Chiltren Fire House.

Oblekla jsem si svou laclacovou sukni a boty Jimmy Choo, ktere potrebovaly po zime provetrat. West ThirtySix melo velmi uvolnenou atmosferu a dobry servis. Ja jsem se rozhodla si dat typicky Sunday Roast z hoveziho a Helena to same ale veprove provedeni. No co vam budu povidat…po dzusovem detoxu jsem se citila jako v nebi. Nemohla jsem si to odpustit a nakoukla do taliru i nasim sousedum a asi se tam vratim na brunch. Vsechno vypadalo vyborne a porce byly vic nez stedre. Takze bych si mela zarezervovat dalsi navstevu co myslite?

Tip of the week – Hot Box London

You know I am a big brunch lover. Give me weekend, good food and friends and I am very happy girl. On Sunday I had a date with my lovely friend Margita and she told me about this trendy spot in East London Hot Box. The website does not tell you much so was not sure what to expect. When we arrived we were welcomed by girls at reception and the whole space is very typical for East London…it has got that steel industrial look so it perfectly fits in Shoreditch area. The menu was varied but it was hard to imagine what things are so I just ordered what I saw on a table next to us. That is so me…that looks good so I will have that. LOL.

I enjoyed the food very much but they really need to work on their service. I have not felt very welcomed the whole time and the staff was rushing us to order quickly, to pay quickly and it is very difficult to chill and enjoy your food when people force you to do something.

The space is quite small so I understand the whole concept is about turning around lot of people within two hours however it is weekend so please let your customers just enjoy their time there.

Vite, ze miluju brunche a mohla bych travit vikendy s prateli obklopena dobrym jidlem. To mi staci ke stesti (tedy alespon nekdy hehe). A v nedeli jsem se vydala s kamaradkou Margitou do vychodniho Londyna do jednoho trendy mista – Hot Box. Na webovych strankach toho moc nemaji, takze jsem nevedela, co mam cekat. Pokud trochu znate tuto cast Londyna, tak vas neprekvapi, ze vetsina mist je navrhnuta ve velmi industrialnim stylu a design je velmi strohy, vsude kolem hodne kovu a tak to bylo i v Hot Boxu. Menu bylo docela pestre, ale nemela jsem predstavu, co si pod urcitymi nazvy mam predstavit, tak jsem si objednala to co jsem videla u sousedu na stole. Nejlepsi taktika ne?

Jidlo mi chutnalo, ale vadil mi hodne servis. Protoze se jedna o docela popularni a male misto, tak se snazi aby zakaznici rychle snedli jidlo a uvolnili stul a to nam davala obsluha hodne najevo. Prakticky vas nuti si rychle objednat, rychle zaplatit a vypadnout.

Mozna to byla nase konkretni obsluha, ale prestoze jidlo bylo vyborne, tak jejich servis me docela odradil od toho, abych se sem nekdy vratila.

Pokud vam tohle nevadi, tak Hot Box urcite vyzkousejte…je to takovy bruch spot, co serviruje vajicka s Mexickym nadechem.

Matthew Williamson Afternoon Tea

I am calling all afternoon tea lovers to check this post out. Few weekends ago I went with my friend Margita for a nice treat to Balthazar. Now you probably read about this place on my blog already but this time Matthew Willamson designed super colourful afternoon tea. It screams spring, it is full of colours and flavours and it looks like a piece of art. Oh man…the sandwiches are still normal sandwiches but the cakes are pleasure for eyes.
And why not to share this with you as London Fashion week starts and all you will see is just fashion and fashion all over. You need some food in your life as well. And because we are not boring girls at all (the Eastern Europe blood is there) we went for cocktails as well. And I don’t want to exaggerate but it was the best part of the whole tea experience. It had a bit of kick, not too sweet and as any cocktail it cheered me up. Thanks for having those when you need it.

The price of the tea is actually very reasonable but they need to work on their service. Everytime I go I am so disappointed. So if you want to try just be prepared it may happen.

Tenhle post se bude zamlouvat milovnikum odpolednich cajovych dychanku, nebo teda nevim jak preste mam nazvat typicky Britskych caj o pate. Nedavno jsem si s kamaradkou Margitou zasla na novy caj do Balthazaru a ten byl navhrnuty specialne navrharem Matthew Willamsonem. No sandwiche byly jako normalni sandwiche, ale jak vidite ty dortiky a deserty jsou radost pro oko. Na muj vkus mozna az moc sladke, ale to je i tim, ze mam radsi spis slane veci. No kazdopadne se Matthew vyradil stejne jako u svych kolekci.
Navic jsem rada, ze vam tyhle fotky muzu ukazat, protoze zacina fashion week a tak chvili neuvidite nic jineho nez samou modu a outfity.
Jo a pokud si rikate, co dela na fotkach koktejl, tak ten byl v cene…v te drazsi kategorii 35 £, ale my holky z Ceska a Slovenska mame radi neco silnejsiho a caj to nezachrani.
A navic ten koktejl byl na tom to nejlepsi.

Tip of the week…Ceru Restaurant

Last week I had a date night with my man. There is nothing better on Friday than to go and eat to a lovely restaurant with your man (or perhaps your latest Tinder find). I would love to say I threw on the best pair of shoes and dress but I literally rushed out of the office after work hungry and excited for this amazing dinner.
My destination was a lovely cute restaurant Ceru on Rathbone street. Situated just at the corner of two streets that makes it looks so cosy and cute inside. Now the first thing I need to tell you is that this is a pop up restaurant that is open until April and it is worthwhile to pop in. I would love to have a lunch or another dinner with my girlfriend again. I can already see myself sitting on one of the stools in my high heels and enjoying glass of wine, dipping in my bread and chatting about life.
And the food is as delicious as it looks. We started with some fantastic signature cocktails and four different dips with bread. This was just a teaser for my taste buds.
The food is served as tapas so it is great to order different things. For a main course decided to go for mouthwatering lamb, chicken skewers and pomegranate and apple salad. Oh man, this was so good.

And although I am not a big dessert person we had to order some as the previous courses were absolutely stunning. I went for a pistachio cake and my boyfriend ordered creme brulee. I think the cake got my heart. I am not going to lie but the guilt came later on following day but you know me. I love my food too much. LOL.

And you would love this too.

V patek jsem mela rande…rande se svym pritelem. Myslim, ze takove rande v pekne restauraci je snad nejlepsi, co muzete v patek udelat. Rada bych vam tady basnila jak jsem doma oblekla do nejlepsich satu a nazula nejnovejsi boty, ale bohuzel jsem sla rovnou z prace a tak muj outfit tomu i odpovidal.
To mi nezkazilo radost a zazitky z teto rozkosne Pop up restaurace Ceru, ktera tady bude otevrena az do Dubna. Pokud se chystate do Londyna tak tohle roztomile mistecko najdete na Rathbone street. Je uplne idealni na rychly obed, protoze serviruje formou tapas.
A nebojte se…jidlo je totiz tak dobre jak vypada. Ja jsem si s pritelem objednala koktejly a muj s exotickym ovocem byl naprosto delikatni. Jako predkrm jsem objednala ruzne dipy a vynikajici cerstvy chleba a uz pri prvnim chodu moje chutove bunky jasaly radosti. Jako hlavni chod jsem se rozhodla pro jenhneci, kure a salat s jablky a nejake brambory. A nelituju protoze vsechno bylo naprosto vynikajici.
A i prestoze nejsem zase az tak na deserty, tak jsem musela neco z menu vyzkouset a ochutnala jsem i creme brule, ktere si objednal muj pritel. A nakonec jsem nelitovala… to mozna az rano, kdy me trapily vicitky svedomi. Ale znate to…ja to tak mam porad a snazim se to v zivote trochu balancovat.

Ale kdyz ten zivot bez jidla by byl tak nudny, hlavne kdyz je tak dobre.
