Medina Gardens – Marrakech

19 Looking at these pictures I want to go back badly. I loved every single moment of the press trip with Thomson and I was keen to show you that amazing hotel where we all stayed. It is couples resort so if you want to take your second half and relax with your books by the pool while catching some sunshine this is a perfect place to pick.

Oh my dears we were in for a big treat. The hotel has got modern design but you see the Moroccan influence. The place is decorated with fabulous colours and lanterns and you are getting real Marrakech experience. Everything from your bed, to rose petals in a toilet (yes you see that right) was a perfection. And prepare yourself to eat a lot as the food is fantastic. You know I am a big foodie and I love my wine and from my experience not all hotels have good choice of wines but here I was pleasantly surprised. I tried to capture the hotel during different times so you get the best feel. As you can see there is an early morning garden where you see nobody, sunny afternoon full of people chilling at the pool as well as evening fun. The hotel offers good entertainment so you have fun guaranteed all the time.

Whether you want a massage or chill at the pool you can get it all. I am going to day dream today as I really want to be with my book and a drink by the pool.

Have a fantastic day.

Hotel ma take krasne zahrady, kde muzete odpocivat cely den a take dva bazeny. A samozrejme nechybi ani vecerni zabava.

Rome Times Hotel

104
You know I always tell you about the good places where I stay or eat or just have fun. When I visited Rome last weekend I stayed right in the City Center and then moved to a wedding venue few kilometers outside of Rome. So let me tell you more about this hospitable hotel – Rome Times Hotel. I could not wish better place when it comes to service and location.

When we arrived the staff was so lovely and for the whole stay they offered immaculate service and the warm welcome in the form of cold bubbles in my room was a perfect touch. I was also glad to see there is a wi-fi in each room which is very important for me as a blogger. And trust me not every hotel has got this luxury. The whole hotel has got modern however very cosy atmosphere and design. I usually love more traditional places but the deco was somewhere in between and I loved it. And the big bed … there is nothing better when a good night sleep in a hotel where you are being looked after right?

You also must have noticed the main picture (please ignore the unhealthy food on the plate as I always go mad on holidays) I was eating like it was last day of my life. It is hard not to when breakfast has got several type of cakes and also savoury food in their selection.

If you ever go to Rome I highly recommend this place as you can really walk anywhere and those views from their roof top terrace are worthwhile the stay. Just get yourself some delicious cocktail and enjoy the buzz of this historical gem.

Dokonce jsme si dali prochazku pesky az do Vatikanu. Ale treba Spanelske schody mate asi 10 minut chuze a take Coloseum a dalsi pamatky.

Je to takove me osobni meritko. A uplne nejvice miluju hotelove snidane.

Ja jsem byla velmi spokojena a take muj pritel.

Marrakech – Part 2

8
This is my next post from my press trip with Thomson holidays in Marrakech. So one afternoon we had another busy few hours ahead. We decided to go shopping to local Souk (market) and to get a real Marrakech experience. And I am telling you everything was exactly how I thought it was going to be. It is full of colours, noises, different smells and you all may have heard about the five senses of Marrakech. That is what you feel and see in the Souk. You can get some fantastic pieces for your home or real silk scarves that look like a rainbow. I was on a mission to bring some lovely items for my flat. Oh, what a fantastic place it is as you can negotiate the price (remember go at least to half to what they suggest – I wish I could do that in Chanel store in London). I wanted lanterns, silver tray and couscous bowl and I got it all with one shocking surprise when I got home. The bowl did not survive the flight and I almost cried as loved it so much. I also had my own Carrie moment when I stopped at the stall with all the sweet shoes. You may have seen it on my instagram already. I really felt like Sex and the City girl.

After shopping we stopped by at the main square. The atmosphere is incredible but be prepared to say firm NO at number of occasions. Also bare in mind that you will be asked to take pictures with monkeys, snakes and other animals but remember that nothing is for free in Marrakech. You will be expected to pay for something you may not even asked for at a first instance.

After fabulous shopping experience we were treated with a private Indian five course meal in the hotel and prior to that with drinks on the roof top terrace. Oh, life can be sweet. Imagine the lights of Marrakech, bubbles, nibbles and a great company. If I knew back then how big and delicious the dinner was going to be I would not eat a single nibble. The whole day just could not be and end up better. I am very lucky that I could experience this.

Marrakech Part 1

2
So here is my first adventure and pictures from my Thomson press trip to Marrakech. I must say this place is a perfect destination for a long weekend. You can do so much in a space of few days and enjoy the atmosphere. The first day after a big breakfast (you know how much I love good hotel breakfast) we headed to see the town and local mosque. I could not believe how fantastic the atmosphere was as you see so many people on their scooters and the roads are so busy. And how cute are all the horses and donkeys? What an incredible place. You do not see that in London everyday when donkey stands on almost each corner.

The place is so buzzing and I love how diverse this city is. You can have a local grocers with an Arabic Coca-Cola sign and there is an Apple store just next to that. I felt like every corner can offer something and the architecture, the stone work and the colours create this complex wonderful place. If you are asking me about the picture of the cat….they are just everywhere. I was told that people adopt them and you literally see them in the square, round the mosques or in the Souk. They are just a typical touch to this wonderful city. We popped in to a local museum to look at varied art and pottery and learn more about the diverse culture coming from Berbers and also from African continent. And after we visited one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen and people refer to them as Yves Saint Laurent Gardens. The official name is Majorelle garden however Yves being one of the previous owners and such a big fashion icon lot of people know them them under YSL Gardens. This place is like a paradise and I could actually just pictures Yves wandering around this spectacular vegetation.

I tried to capture everything with my camera and I will do my best to make a video as well so stay tuned for more.

Tak vam prinasim druhy post z meho press tripu s Thomson Holidays. Marakes me prijemne prekvapila a je to idealni misto na prodlouzeny vikend. Silnice byly plne skutru, osliku a taky koni.

Love Glamazon xoxo
