My honest Demellier bags review

As a bag lover I love to change things up. Yes, some women may have one bag and wear just that one however for me bags can make or break the outfit. I love experimenting with different designer brands and premium luxury brands.

Demellier London is a brand I fell in love with a while back. I also did some articles in the past when I wrote for Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE as I could feel the brand is on the rise. I really feel they are stunning and top quality affordable bags.

One day a friend of mine Lorna who may know from Instagram as Symphony of Silk messaged me she wants me to have one of the Demellier ICONS. I was over the moon. The brand does influencer’s collections with exclusive colours and each influencer stands behind different design and thanks to Lorna and The Nano Montreal I had my first Demellier bag. Once I touched it and used I became a fan number one. Since then my collection grew and I I can only vouch for the quality and the designs. The brand also prides themselves of being sustainable and they manage their marketing and campaigns extremely well.

The Nano Montreal

Despite of the smaller size I find this bag very practical. When I travelled last summer and went away for weeks it was my bag of choice to bring to go with light outfits. I love that it has got top handle and it transforms immediately to a chic bag suitable for day and evening. You can wear it running around and thanks to the detachable strap you can have free hands if needed. It compliments even simple day looks and transforms them very fast. It is big enough to fit my phone, card holder, sunglasses, keys and few small items. And the Princess of Wales have also been seen wearing this model which definitely gives this bag even more credibility.

The New York Tote Midi

What a bag! I have a feeling this might be the most popular model from this brand and I am not surprised. The Midi is a perfect size however the full size also looks fantastic and goes with the current trend of large bags. I love the midi as it is not too big or too small and perfect if you need to fit in more things. The crossbody strap is also a bonus. I have the black one with gold hard wear and beautiful light green which was instantly sold out. I really wish they would bring this colour back.

The quality of the leather and how the bag is made is very high. I have been wearing these bags a lot and let’s say as a busy mum I may not have time to always think I should be careful when handling the bags. Yet, they still look so fabulous. When I saw the suede one in the autumn I thought what an incredible shade and texture and kept daydreaming about this bag. LOL. Well, I really feel this bag is worth every penny.

The Cannes clutch

I wish I had this model last summer. I went for the gold option as I feel metallics are so easy to combine. I also spent some time in Cannes in South France so what are the chances to wear the bag that carries a name of one of my favourite places on Earth. It really makes any outfit and I love the idea of simple looks and just let the clutch do the talk. And again the designers thought of practicality and added a chain if you get tired of wearing it as a clutch. The only small downside of this bag is the that you need to fill it in a bit to create that full shape. Otherwise it is perfection.

The Vancouver clutch

I wanted this bag for a long time and this is my latest edition so I have no images of me wearing it. However, I am in love. I only filmed unboxing few days ago and cannot wait to wear this beauty. The craftsmanship again is to a high standard and it has a chain as well.

I find this bag probably the most chic out of the ones I own and really wanted the croc version. There is also small separate pocket inside with a zip and despite of the size I feel it fits the most important things like keys, phone, lipgloss and perhaps even sunglasses if your case is not too bulky.

BEST INFLUENCER OUTFITS ROUND UP – WINTER LOOKS

London weather has been playing with us. One day is sunny and to be honest some trees are almost in full bloom and I am ready for spring makeup and outfits. And the next day the rain comes and the cold temperatures are so bad that I just want to stay inside.

That means we need little bit more of outfit inspiration to get us through this rainy misery in style. I wrapped myself as you can see in a faux fur coat and vynil trousers to keep warm for a day out in London. By the looks of it the spring coats and blazers are still staying in our closets.

I really love Lima’s cute outfit and perfect touch of the heart on Valentine’s day. Chloe also looks super cool in her faux fur and Laura killing a chic look as always. Layering in winter is fun to be fair and we can play with accessories like sunglasses, hats or scarves to make the look a little bit more fun. So sadly we may still need our leather gloves and chunky knits but at least we can enjoy dressing.

Spring makeup trends including Espresso Makeup

I am really loving how Tiktok dictates what is trendy. Yesterday I went to a hairdresser and a girl next to me asked for the popular Tiktok Butterfly haircut and today I was totally influenced trying on myself over40 version of the Espresso Makeup.

Now that makeup style is all over my FYP and to be honest I do love that look. I just need to keep trying until I master it and until I find the perfect products. Another huge trend is the juicy cherry cola lips. However, I still enjoy exploring new spring collections. I have recently visited the SUQQU counter at Selfridges and explored the collections. I am forever in love with their ombre blushes and the spring shades are just what we need to put on our cheeks.

NATURAL LOOKS FOR SPRING

However, the natural looks are big for this spring. Even the Espresso makeup is natural just more striking with more sexy eyes and smudged liner and big layer of ideally brown mascara. Obviously the Trish McEvoy look is uber natural but we are still using natural tones which I know will make lot of women happy. So think less blush, good skin base, peachy and rose tones even on eyes and looking fresh and youthful.

Roseinc is also is promoting “naked” makeup look with really glossy finish on eyes, cheeks and lips. The finish is just very natural that is giving healthy and youthful vibe.

WHAT TO INVEST IN?

You cannot go wrong with a good CC cream or perhaps the Roseinc Tinted serum for the natural finish. If you use Trish McEvoy Instant Eyelift you will create perfectly looking natural base. Some new spring blush is a must as well as a product that will bring some glow to your face. If you are more the Espresso makeup kind of girl go for deep brown tones, good highlight, brown mascara and Kajal Pencil Eyeliner. Victoria Beckham has a wonderful range that will be just perfect for this trend.

Spring jackets – what to wear this spring

Everybody seems to be excited about spring and despite all of this the weather has not been so good to us. I walk pass flowering trees in my winter coat in gloomy London and in my mind I am wearing my best spring outfit and grabbing takeaway coffee.

Well even if the weather is not giving us what we want we can still think about spring looks and what to wear. I don’t how about you but spring is one of the seasons when I love to refresh my wardrobe as London can be strange. You sometimes end up wearing your spring jacket in the summer so for us Londoners it is clever to splurge little bit on these pieces.

So what to wear this spring?

Oversized blazers and wool blazers

Oversized blazers are not going anywhere. Think YSL or Isabel Marant and million other desingers and brands that incorporated this trend to their collection. One brand I love that does this so well is Marcela London. Frankie shop is another winner and to be honest if you look at their outerwear you will see pretty much all the spring jackets I am talking about in this article. And let’s face it a good wool blazer is an investment for life.

Trench coats – Play with fabrics

This classic will hopefully never come out of fashion. A classic trench should be part of your capsule wardrobe however brands are bringing exciting cuts, fabrics and shapes. I love what the aboved mentioned Frankie shop is doing and so many fabulous brands. If you give me oversized leather or faux leather trench I will be a happy lady.

Bomber jackets

I love a good bomber jacket. I am dreaming of a YSL one but adore brands like Allsaints, Anine Bing, Frankie shop, Sezane amongst the more affordable. Of course high-street players like Zara or H&M are not behind. As a matter of fact I ordered this H&M one that is exclusive online and it looks like a dream. It also comes in black and looks so much more expensive than it is. And to be honest even both my kids have a bomber jacket so spring we are ready for you.

Cropped jackets – Play with fabrics

I love cropped jackets at the moment and you can see here why. It looks so cool and chic and just perfect for those spring days when it is not overly cold. Oh yes sometimes girl has to stay warm right? I say play with fabrics as leather is not the only option. I love tweed models, teddy fabrics, wool and more. These jackets can be fun but yes leather is a great investment long term.
