I think I just found my new favourite place when I want to stay locally, French Cafe at Forest Hill Road. So if you live in East Dulwich or Honor oak this is a fabulous place to have your coffee, light lunch or breakfast. Now, they do not have a website and perhaps it is good as the cafe was packed anyway. There were people getting take-away treats and coffee and that tells me I am not the only one that likes this little cute cafe.
I love the deco inside to bits as it is right up my street and that is not the only great thing about this place. As you can see the pastry and all the cakes look amazing. I went for Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend went for Full English breakfast and the food was very good quality. I was also amazed by a quick service and friendly attitude. And did I mention that delicious coffee?

The only thing I missed to have the options of extra like chips or hasbrowns as that is a big part of English Breakfast and some people may prefer it to toast. If that would be an option this would be the best place ever!

If you are around or live nearby definitely go to this place as it will charm you. I am definitely coming again!

Myslim, ze jsem nasla nove oblibene misto, kam budu chodit na brunch, kdyz se mi nechce do centra. Takze pokud bydlite, nebo nekdy budete v okoli East Dulwich nebo Honor oak urcite tohle misto vyzkousejte. French Cafe je mala kavarna, ktera serviruje snidane i lehci obedy a ma naprosto kouzelny interier. Hned po vstupu vas uvita velky vyber sladkeho peciva a dortu a samozrejme si muzete vybrat i z menu napriklad Vajicka Benedict, Anglickou Snidani nebo take Americkou snidani v podobne palacinek se slaninou a javorovym sirupem.

Ja jsem byla hrozne spokojena se servisem a pristupem personalu. A jidlo bylo vytecne. Urcite jedny z tech lepsich vajicek Benedict, co jsem mela.
Navic jsem si vsimla, ze spousty mistnich si proste zasli jenom koupit cerstve pecivo a kavu a vzali si je domu, coz mi rika, ze tohle misto je popularni a nejsem jedina, ktera sem asi bude chodit rada.
Jedina vec, ktera mi trosku chybela je moznost si priobjednat navic hranolky ci hasbrowns k Anglicke snidani. Ne kazdy ma totiz rad jenom toast.
Kazdopadne se uz se tesim, az sem pujdu znovu.

If you love Indian but you are bored of the typical places where they serve just curry and rice you must try Dishoom. What a place! This Bombay Cafe offers fantastic experience, great deco and even better food. It is a sharing menu restaurant so I would suggest to take the advice from the staff what and how much to order. I still think that at my last visit we overdid it a bit. My favourite dishes are chicken and pomegranate salad, Murgh Malai and their calamari. However, I would recommend to try that black daal. My friend Andra could not get over it and I bet she is now thinking about it every lunch time. Well, I cant blame her. You can find this restaurant at Covent Garden and Shoreditch. However, if you want to secure table Shoreditch seems to be much bigger.

I can tell you one thing, this clearly becomes one of my favourite places in London.

Pokud mate radi Indickou kuchyni, ale nebavi vas jenom curry s ryzi porad dokola, urcite musite navstivit Dishoom. Tohle misto jsem si zamilovala po prvni navsteve jejich restaurace na Covent Garden a po vyzkouseni restaurace ve Shoreditch je to oficialne jedno z nejoblibenejsich mist v Londyne. Uvnitr najdete fantasticky design, ktery pripomina stary Bollywood a urcite vas ucaruje i atmosfera, protoze maji porad narvano. Bohuzel pokud vas neni alespon sest, nemuzete si predem rezervovat stul, takze je to o riskovani a nebo cekani nez se stul uvolni.

Jidlo je fantasticke, serviruji je zpusobem tapas, takze urcite doporucuji se poradit s personalem kolik je treba ceho objednat. Moje oblibene jidlo je urcite kureci salat se seminky z granatoveho jablka, Murgh Malai, coz je marinovane kure v cesneku, koriandru a zazvoru a jejich kalamary. Urcite vyzkousejte jejich specialitu black daal, coz je varena cocka. Daal obecne miluju, ale jejich je snad o tridu lepsi, nez kdekoli jinde.

Brixton starts to be my favourite place when it comes to food. Just walk to Brixton Village and the selection is huge. Plus they opened Champagne Fromage there, can you believe it? Imagine glass of bubbly and some tasty cheese in the middle of Brixton.

Well back to the topic. Last weekend I went for lunch and bit of shopping with my dear friend Izabela and I think our Saturdays in Brixton start to become a tradition. You cannot blame me, first of all it is mid way for both of us and secondly my boyfriend has got a small brewery there where they organise workshops and people are making their own beer. So I spend a lot of time there. Well this time we went to Casa Sibilla and the food was just mouthwatering. Their breads and pastas (nobody said I have to diet) are really fantastic. And there is enough places to shop after lunch so no need to go anywhere else.

Brixton zacina byt me oblibene misto, co se jidla tyce. Staci zajit do Brixton Village a vyber je na tak malem prostoru opravdu velky. Kdyz opominu fronty, vzdycky se nekde dobre najite. A navic tam nedavno otevreli Champagne Fromage, tak si to predstavte Sampanske a Francouzske syry uprostred Brixtonu. Londyn je proste nepredvidatelny.

No ale zpatky k tematu.
V Sobotu jsem se vydala s kamaradkou Izabelou do Brixtonu na obed a mensi nakupy. Nejak se to stava nasi tradici, mame zkratka Brixton na pul cesty a navic zde ma pritel svuj minipivovar, takze tam travim dost casu. Tentokrat jsem vyzkousela restauraci Casa Sibilla a muzu jenom doporucit, jidlo se rozplyvalo na jazyku. Servirovali take skvely vyber peciva a obe jsme si pochutnavaly. Testoviny se muzou zdat jednoduche, ale prijde mi, ze prave na nich se da hodne pokazit. Moc nam tam chutnalo a myslim, ze se tam klidne vratim, i kdyz Champagne Fromage je velky souper. Ale o tom zase az priste.

If you love cute little Italian restaurants you will love this place. Osteria Basilico is a fantastic place. I always go with my friend who lives in Notting Hill and I am surprised I have not blogged about this place as of yet. Well the time has come. Their food is so delicious and they have varied menu. Everybody must find their favourite dish. I love their Carpaccio and this time I had amazing pasta with prawns and veg. You will get that family and friendly type of feel there and the buzz adds to the character of this place. I am always satisfied and you should try this place as well. So next time when you are in Notting Hill make sure you will give it a go.

Pokud mate radi male a utulne Italske restaurace, tahle se vam bude strasne zamlouvat. Osteria Basilico je opravdu uzasne misto. Chodim tam vzdy s kamaradkou, ktera bydli v Notting Hill a sama sebe prekvapuju, ze jsem o tomhle miste jeste nepsala. Je totiz na case. Jejich jidlo je delikatni a jeste nikdy se mi nestalo, ze by se nerozplyvalo na jazyku. A navic maji pestry jidelnicek, takze si snad kazdy vybere. Ja doporucuju jejich Carpaccio.
