Bringing texture to your home is one of the biggest trends in 2024 in Home Decor. And I am so here for it. I love mixing different textures and to be honest I have seen it all over from corduroy arm chairs, boucle or even textured lamps and cushions. Nothing is plain and nothing is boring.
You really can bring texture on so many elements to your home even on walls but that is kind of much more expensive and bigger job. I remember during winter visiting the Max Mara pop up at Covent garden and everything being wrapped in their iconic teddy fabric reminded me of this trend. It was fun and so much sensory pleasure.
However you can bring texture to your dining table setting with lovely napkins and non plain glasses, rough edges plates and perhaps an interesting vase. The final outcome is so worth it when you synchronise all the beautiful textures on the table.
I currently have an eye for me for these lamps for my bedroom but still want to wait as when it comes to home there is no point to rush. However, I love so many items that scream textures so thought I would share some of my favourites that will not cost a fortune.
I simply adore this trend and I am keen to bring more and more of this to my home. Art is one of the easiest way you can do it and so many textured pieces out there that are affordable.
How I create my vision board? As somebody who discovered law of attraction circa year 2008 I am a huge believer in energies, visual support to achieve your goals and also attracting things, people, circumstances and much more to your life.
People want different things in life. Some people looking for finding love, improving health or smile which you can simply improving with composite bonding (I did in the past) or you want save up money for holiday or perhaps owning your dream property.
However, nothing is black and white so also I have to say I have read tons of books since about this topic and also books about how subconscious mind affects us, our childhood, our old patterns and beliefs that are rooted so deeply inside that you can only work on them by specific therapies and techniques. So simply these things unless you work on them can subconsciously stop you from attracting what you want and it does not matter how many vision boards you surround yourself with and how many times you write in your diary certain affirmation.
Over the years I have changed slightly how I do my vision board and last year was the first year when I did it this way. I create something more like a mood board and collect images on my Pinterest that resonate with me and have some meaning for me. So this mood board is more generic and more about your energy and frequency rather than specific goals. However when I look at it I feel really good. Each image moves me, makes me happy and makes me feel really content. I resonate with what I am looking it.
As an example a woman on reformer pilates can have different meaning for me – workout more, eat better, self-care, more time for myself. However, this image supports my more detailed goal – e.g. tone up muscles and lose weight. Many people say vision boards are there to be seen daily so you attract what you see but after the years I feel it is slightly against one of the law of attraction rules – Let it go. So to explain simply if you want to attract something to your life you should do following…when your energy is high send a wish, feel the energy of what you are wishing for, imagine you have it already, act like you have it but then let it go. Do not dwell on it. And from my experience that is why sometimes you think of something one minute and when you really let it go it can manifest an hour later.
I am not saying this is right way to do it however I feel in our busy lives it is an easy way to do it. We have our phones with us all the time and use it daily so that means these set of images that you love and represent something you want are there. So create your mood board with different layouts and then write down specific goals that are somehow linked with your mood board and once you write it down go through the “order” process. Basically what I mentioned above – wish, feel, act like you have it and let it go. Then put this piece of paper away and look at it end of the year or later you can even write down specific date. Perhaps you can look at it mid year in order to see how you are getting on with your goals. Person has to feel with their own intuition what works the best for them.
And your beautiful mood board can be your screensaver. I honestly loved my 2023 so much I did not change my screensaver as it really resonated me and I feel like that about my 2024 one as well.
Sit down and think of what you want in your life to happen in 2024 and it can be even things like giving up smoking, invest more in your skin and well-being, run a marathon or simply relax more.
Create a board on Pinterest – I keep mine one private and start to gather images. Make sure the image really moves you somehow and you feel this is really really good.
Chose the images that are the key ones for your from your shortlist. Last year I had almost 100 images on my Pinterest board but when I was selecting the 12 for my board it went very quickly. Simply some talked to me more than others.
For the mood board you can use app Canva or Moldiv. I find these two very easy.
Write down specific goals on a piece of paper – if it makes it easier you can first do section personal, career, money, love and then this could help you to break it down.
Before you put it away try to really feel each point and send a wish but then let it go. Exactly as I mentioned above (if that is what you struggle with – for me this is the hardest part perhaps read some books that help you to understand this and how to do it)
Now you are all set for 2024
I decided to share some of images from my ‘mood’ board however this really can mean different things to others. In general I want more time for myself, more self-care, meditate more, have happy and healthy family, travel and also live in the moment. I am also looking for abundance in life, financial matters, love and health.
The Grill in the recently relaunched Dining Hall in Harrods is a classic. This is Harrods’ own labelled restaurant and such a good spot for lunch or dinner whether you are shopping or simply you just come here to enjoy their menu that includes lot of classic steak cuts as well as Japanese Wagyu or braised beef croquets. I absolutely adore Studio Frantzen which is also to be found in this department store but if you love a good steak this is a must.
I was curious about this well known steakhouse after the reopening and have no regrets about our delicious dinner. We had a wonderful weekday day night and left fully satisfied after a scrumptious dinner. I love the whole atmosphere of Harrods and the Dining Hall is no different. Shoppers or simply restaurant visitors (if you do not want to take the shopping part) eat and enjoy drinks in stunning environment and we also got fantastic service. We started to chat to our fabulous waiter who was originally from Hungary but lived here for many years. As an immigrant I am always curious about people’s background. He was very professional and helpful and despite of the restaurant being very busy the staff provided very efficient service.
If there is a steak tartare on the menu I am pretty much always strong on the starter option and as expected I loved it. It was slightly different to what I am used to but divine and my husband and I went traditional on Rib Eye medium rare and lot of additional sides like chips, mash, macaroni cheese and creamy spinach. And let me tell you the macaroni cheese were the best I have ever tried. I would come back just for those. During colder season I prefer to drink red wine and we just went for house red Bourgogne Pinot Noir which mark my words I said after tasting – I cannot believe this is your house red.
The Grill really is such a key place to Harrods and I will be coming back. I would love to bring my parents here as I know they would love it. They appreciate good quality food and wine as well as service and this was spot on for us.

I am definitely not a mum that researches for hours what pram she would like for her child but when I know I know. When picking a stroller I always consider my lifestyle the most. I live in London and city may have different requirements to countryside but I also walk a lot and use public transport and I consider the style of the pram also important as it often appears on social media too.
And that is the reason why I opted for Anex E-Type in this stunning caramel shade. When I had Liam I had a black pram and although it is very practical I really wanted to try something different. Even though this pram is made of washable material (which is super handy and one of my favourite things about it) I still did not want to go for the very light shades (soul and marble) even though they are beautiful. So this shade was great option for a girl and also my wardrobe. LOL The curve design makes it looks very chic and I constantly get compliments on it online and offline from strangers in the street.
I was worried that the light colours may be too much for London which can be difficult to maintain. There are many situations like last minute closing doors on the tube and similar where I did not want obvious marks to deal with. However, there is always the option of easily washing it. I really love this option.
I also love that now Nessa can be in this chic carrycot and then transfer to a seat which to be honest I am excited about. Babies love that transition as they can finally see the world around them. The seat is also extremely chic so cannot wait for her to enjoy walks on warmer days. However the seat can be fully inclined so you can use it for newborns too. This pram is easy to push even with one hand due to large rubber wheels and suspension. I also love my cup holder as I am always on the go with a coffee and just obsessed with the overall design. So far it has been a dream to use this pram.
The only thing I would change at this point is size of the shopping basket however we have also bag that comes at the front on the pram which can be used for storage too and is very handy.
I love the fact that you can only do one purchase and this gorgeous pram will grow with your child from newborn to pre-schooler. You can easily fold it if you are often using car and it has many great things about.
I am really glad we can now get this great brand in UK. We also have Anex Air Z which we cannot wait to use on our travels as I always prefer more compact option when travelling abroad. However, that you will have to wait to hear about in few months time.

Ja nepatrim mezi maminky, co vyhledavaji hodiny a hodiny ten spravny kocar. Presne vim, co od kocaru ocekavam a kdyz vim, tak proste vim. Dulezite je pro me, aby fungoval k memu zivotnimu stylu. Ziju v rusnem velkomeste a pouzivam hodne dopravu nebo chodim pesky. Takze nepotrebuju nejaky ultra lehky kocar, ktery ve vterine skladam do auta. I kdyz u tohoto kocaru to take neni problem.
A tak jsem vedela, ze Anex E type v teto karamelove barve je pro nas spravna volba. Libi se mi design, coz je dulezite vzhledem k tomu, ze se objevuje na mych socialnich sitich, da se omyvat, coz je fantasticke, protoze ziju ve velkomeste, kde clovek nikdy nevi. Nekolikrat v minulosti mi kocar uvizl v zavirajicich se dverich metra. Moc jsem chtela vyzkouset tentokrat jiny odstin nez cerny a tak jsem zvolila prave zlaty stred. Svetle odstiny jez firma nabizi jsou sice krasne, ale do Londyna mozna nevhodne.
Kocar se skvele ovlada dokonce i jednou rukou diky kolum se sirokou gumou. Mam samozrejme i nezbytny drzak na piti, ktery casto pouzivam na kavu. Tento kocar ma tuto kolebku do sesti mesicu a pak klasickou sportakovou verzi. Ta se da vsak uplne polozit, takze pokud chcete, muzete ji pouzit i u mensich deti. Ja se tesim az bude tepleti a Nessa si bude uzivat, ze se muze konecne poradne rozhlizet na nasich cestach po Londyne.
Jedinou vec, kterou bych zmenila je asi velikost nakupniho kosiku, to ale kompenzuje ulozny prostor v tasce, ktera se da zavesit na pred kocarku. Je to take velmi prakticke.
Jsem rada, ze mame takovy skvely kocarek a ze Anex nyni prodava sve modely i v Britanii. Nessu ceka jeste na cestovani jejich model Air Z, ktery je samozrejme kompaktnejsi, protoze rada cestu s opravdu lehkym a skladnym kocarkem. Na to jaky je si ale budete muset jeste asi dva mesice pockat.
