London’s Coolest Coffee Shops to Visit: From Marylebone to Knightsbridge

Voyage Lounge – Knighstbridge

I’m a self-proclaimed coffee expert and lover. And when I say expert, I mean I should probably be competing in the Olympics for coffee sipping and people-watching.

I love bringing you these coffee shop guides because, honestly, I find them incredibly useful myself. There’s nothing quite like discovering a new spot for a good coffee, a little people-watching and a change of scene. So, naturally, I’m always on the lookout for the next place worth adding to my list.

Today, I’m bringing you a rather unusual mix of spots that I hope will prove there’s a coffee shop for every vibe. The idea is to offer a little variety, so whether you’re after somewhere cosy, somewhere different or somewhere to settle in with your laptop, there might just be a place for you.

I’m kicking things off with the dark horse of today’s selection: Voyage Lounge in Knightsbridge.

First things first, don’t expect a cute, cosy, cottage-style coffee shop. This is a different kind of experience altogether.

Instead, think relaxed lounge vibes, soothing background music, a quieter atmosphere, plenty of picture-worthy corners and, of course, great coffee. The interiors feel more high-end, giving the space a rather sophisticated feel without making it feel overly formal.

A little heads-up: Voyage Lounge is probably the most expensive spot in today’s selection, so it’s worth keeping that in mind before you visit. That said, I can absolutely see the appeal. It’s the kind of place where you can sip a really good coffee while catching up with a friend, or settle in with your laptop when you fancy a change of scenery.

For me, the biggest draw is the atmosphere. It feels calm, polished and a little removed from the usual hustle and bustle of London — a lovely option when you want your coffee break to feel like a bit of an occasion.

Meykade – Chelsea

Now we moved straight to a complete opposite of Voyage Lounge. This place is tiny but so sweet and full of character.

It is actually a tiny Persian charming coffee shop with lot of character. Think delicious cakes, tempting little bites and, of course, dates. Now, I have to admit, I would never have thought of treating myself to a pistachio-filled date alongside my coffee, but what a lovely little discovery! It’s these unexpected combinations that make exploring independent cafés so much fun.

There’s something rather special about finding a place that introduces you to flavours you might not usually pick yourself. And if you’re anything like me, a good coffee is always even better when there’s a little something sweet to go with it.

The place has some seating outside and inside but honestly this is more a quick stop coffee and take away their delicious latte or another drink of choice. I believe they transfer the coffee options to wine and savoury snacks in the afternoons which makes it super inspiring.

Why not to stop twice in a day just for a different drink of choice.

Cup of Joy – Marylebone

Cup of Joy is Turkish inspired coffee shop that screams interior design. I think this is the strongest point of this new spot in Marylebone. This part of London always has new things popping up and becoming popular faster than speed of light.

We could barely find a seat but we made it and I had my go to order Oat Latte and my friend tried their traditional Turkish coffee. You can see they really put an effort in making their traditional Turkish coffee and it is pleasure to watch it. This on its own is an experience.

Now, I have to be honest: out of the four spots in this guide, the coffee itself was probably my least favourite. But here’s the thing — a great coffee shop experience isn’t always just about what’s in your cup.

Cup of Joy has that buzzing energy that makes you want to stay a little longer. Think a cool crowd, a cosy yet fun atmosphere and, my personal favourite, absolutely brilliant people-watching opportunities.

It’s one of those places where you can sit back, soak up the atmosphere and watch London life unfold around you. And let’s be honest, as someone who considers people-watching an Olympic sport, that’s a pretty big selling point!

So, while it might not have won me over with the coffee alone, the vibe definitely deserves a mention.

Mulliri – South Kengsington

I was very late to the party with this one. It was all over my social media last year but believe it or not sometimes people are so busy it takes them a whole year to find the time.

’m glad I gave Mulliri a try because I would absolutely grab a coffee here again. And visiting on a dry autumn day? It felt like something straight out of a movie. Honestly, you wouldn’t have to ask me twice to recreate that little moment.

Nothing beats a cute outfit, a friend by your side and a charming corner coffee shop serving carefully selected beans alongside a tempting display of food. It’s such a simple pleasure, but one that never gets old.

I also noticed plenty of savoury options, which is always a bonus if you fancy something more substantial than a sweet treat with your coffee.

And can we take a moment to appreciate the colour palette at Mulliri? The colours and overall aesthetic are definitely winning me over. You know I’m always here for a spot that gets the little details right — and this one certainly has that going for it.

Mulliri is small and charming, but we managed to grab a seat outside, which made the experience even better. There’s something lovely about sitting outdoors with a coffee in hand and simply watching the world go by. Add a little autumn sunshine, a cute outfit and good company, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for much more.
