Arlo Nomad Hotel Review
New York is one of those cities I could visit several times a year and never get tired of. I have been three times so far, and yet every visit leaves me wanting to return. There is something about this place that has an energy unlike anywhere else. I love the anything from exploring the restaurants to just simply stopping and watching the world go by.
It can completely exhaust you, but at the same time, it has this incredible ability to recharge you. The buzzing atmosphere, the people, the endless possibilities, the sounds and vibrations of the city — everything feels alive, constantly moving and evolving.
I could quite easily find myself returning every two months, simply to soak up the atmosphere, take in every little detail and find inspiration in the everyday moments that make New York so special.
But, like many of us who love travelling, I always find myself asking the same question before booking a trip: where should I stay to make the most of my time, my plans and the way I like to travel?
For me, choosing a hotel is about much more than just having somewhere to sleep. It is about finding a place that fits into the rhythm of the city and complements the experience I want to have.
During my last visit to New York, I stayed at Arlo NoMad, a contemporary boutique hotel in Manhattan that promised a stylish base for exploring the city.
And I start with saying that I would happily stay here again. Yes I do love Tribeca and West Village and I like the idea maybe just be closer to Central Park and go for a walk with my morning coffee but staying round the corner from Empire State building and so close to all areas was a great decision for me and my friend.
Why I chose Arlo Nomad?
So what can you expect from Arlo NoMad? It does not have the grand feel but it has everything you need and good service. The rooms are small but the views really make up for it. The views of New York streets and skyline at Arlo Nomad are incredible and that itself makes me to give the most positive review. I simply loved the floor to ceiling windows and couldn’t get enough of it. It was so extra to pull up the electric blinds each morning and see the City at it’s glory. And don’t start me on the twinkly lights. The skyline was simply magical.
As a content creator I managed to get excellent content and some wonderful outfit pictures even in that small room. The storage isn’t the best but the bathroom is spacious, the bed is very comfortable and hotel provided everything we needed after calling reception. It is busy hotel with some cool young crowd. At times I thought I am getting enough fashion inspiration without even leaving hotel.
The lobby is far away from the grand spaces in some upscale hotels however you can comfortably sit there, grab coffee or quick snack in the downstairs coffee shop. The hotel also provides unlimited water bottles at reception.
I personally used to love to use their library area as not many people used it and whilst my friend was still asleep I would get coffee downstairs or nearby Blank Street, called my kids and husband or simply used the quiet morning time for scheduling my next post. The community space was large, beautiful and again the views just perfect.
And there there is the rooftop. Yes the cold weather doesn’t make you enjoy it as much as during warmer months but It is worth every penny to just go and observe NYC day or night. And as you could expect we created some content up at the roof top as well.
I would definitely review Arlo Nomad as an excellent spot for solo travellers, city break people and couples. You have everything near, the hotel is warm, fun, comfortable. It has options for food in case you need that room service. There is a downstairs bar and restaurant and several spaces in case your room would be too small.
So if you are still looking for more affordable hotels that are good value for money I hope this could be the one.
