One of the biggest shopping weeks of the year is approaching and I wanted to share with you some tips how you can shop effectively and focus on things you actually need. Sales can be sometimes very tempting so some people buy stuff just because they are discounted and then do not use those items at all.

So how can you prepare without being overwhelmed and shop effectively?

Create a wish-list – Sit down and write down the items you need/want. Remember want isn’t need. I am sharing some of items I have my eyes on below if you want to have a look. This time of the year is great for shopping designers as you can get really good deals however if you want trendy high-street piece you can also snap things cheaper. However you may need stuff for household, holiday or sofa. It really is up to you but planning is key.
Prioritise this wish-list – Make sure you have good order of the items you want. If things go wild online you do not want to panic and buy one item over the other.
Make a list of Christmas presents – This time is amazing to snap some bargains for Christmas. Why wait and buy presents for loved ones when they are back full price? Do it now.
Think of your favourite retailers and write them down – most brands have offers, if you do not want anything specific but want to browse around to see if there is anything you like…you can go by retailers.
Use Shoptagr app – it gives you an alert if your favourite item goes on sale or if it is back in stock. It is easy way how to track discounts.
Read articles that have lists full of discount codes – Shoptagr is amazing but it will only show you if the price actually changes. Lot of retailers only show discount codes which you apply at check out. Many bloggers, printed and online magazines share tons of discount codes and offers so keep an eye on those.
Buy timeless things that you will have and use for a long time – this is a great time to shop for classic items. If you buy black leather jacket 30 % off you will have this piece for a long time. Trends are amazing but your cost per wear will be even better with classic items.

Teddy coats are definitely not a new thing in fashion but they are still very big. It is that trend that managed to stick and there are so many fabulous pieces on high-street as well as amongst designers. Max Mara really started something few seasons ago. They created the cosiest coat and the first season it was sold out in a second.

I will not lie and openly say I really want the Max Mara teddy coat as simply they look fantastic and I know it is a great investment. Having said that there are so many great ones starting on around 50 £. And some of the mid-range priced teddy coats from brands like Stand are equally fabulous.

So here is a small selection of some stunning and currently available models.

Some people will always want to look slimmer whilst some are maybe fighting to put on some weight and no matter how hard they try it does not work for them. Anyway, this articles is for those who want some tips to look slimmer instantly. It is not about diets or working out but simply giving you few hacks how to work with your body shape and how to style your clothes. There is a full video here which you can watch and really see how changing certain things can make a difference. It is simple little do’s and dont’s video. So here are some tips I wanted to share with you.

Find out your body shape and dress accordingly – Here is an online calculator where you put in your measurements and it will tell you what body shape you are. Then just look what suits each body shapes and what are dos and dont’s. It will really help you to look leaner and slimmer. And before you get sad if you get shape like pear or apple do not be sad. Just google famous celebrities and will realise how many amazing women with amazing bodies are the same body type. Mine is for example Cameron Diaz or Nicole Kidman. Yay.

Go high-waisted – Remember that high-waisted skirts, trousers, jeans or shorts will help you to keep everything in, make your legs look longer and your love handles will stay in place. As much as I love the 90’s jeans style down at your hips I know they are not very forgiving sadly.

Wear Black – I feel so silly to put this one in as it is so obvious however it does work. Imagine you gained few pounds and you find a dress of your dreams. One is in light colour the other is black. Guess which one will make you look slimmer :) ? Also, overall black outfits are the best and safe choice.

Wear Flares – Flares are coming and going but to be fair they will never be out of fashion. Look at Rachel Zoe she has been wearing them forever. And she knows they look fab. They will give your body right proportions and your legs will look so much longer.

Belt your dresses and blazers and don’t leave your heels at home – If you work with your belts in the right way it can do wonders. So belt that baggy dress or oversized blazer. Not only it will look super chic but also give your body some shape. It works for my body shape and I can’t get enough. Also remember how long your legs looked in those high heels? Well, it is because heels always make you look slimmer. So lets drop the comfort and be glam for a change.

Every real fashionista on the planet is probably aware that if there is one hot brand and hard to get pieces it is a current collection of Bottega Veneta. It has always been a beautiful brand and their iconic clutches always been on the spotlight. However with the recent influence of ex Celine Daniel Lee you can tell it is currently the IT brand.

Influencers, celebrities are carrying the oversized pouches and eagerly trying to get them in all colours. The plain and quilted mules are also constantly sold out and waiting lists are longer than my hair. The ready to wear is also in demand and basically Bottega Veneta is the brand that everybody wants. It is what Dior or Gucci was few seasons ago.
